classes at Gloucester Art School but on retirement from medicine he
joined the London Art Academy and qualified with a first in July 2012 .
His main graduate show painting was chosen by the President of the
British Federation of Artists for their “Futures” show at the Mall Gallery in
August 2012.
He has illustrated a number of children’s books including “The Pocket
Mouse” and an anthology of Australian poetry and prose.
He is at present working in North Yorkshire and in London where he also
has a studio.
In the past and during his professional medical career he concentrated
mainly on pen and ink landscapes but since then has worked on abstract
and semi abstract work. He often uses mixed media but works mainly works with acrylics and oils. He is interested in portraiture and enjoys book illustration work and intaglio printing.
